((General Rules))
- Respect - It's a factor that keeps all sites together. you will need respect for the site, respect for the staff team, respect for the site workers, and respect for everyone and everything else. disrespect will not be tolerated.
- Staff Word is law! - It doesn't matter if you're talking to an admin, a moderator, or a profile mod, staff is staff and they know what they're talking about. You need to listen to them, especially when it comes down to doing and not doing. We're not going to ask you to automatically respect them, but you need to listen. There is no if, ands, or buts about this. However, keep in mind that an admin's word is the final say.
If you have an issue with a staff member or don't quite agree with what they're saying, feel free to contact another staff member, but be prepared to argue for your side. If one staff says no for a very good reason, like it not being allowed at this time then do NOT go behind their backs and ask someone else if it is. The staff does talk to one another, and we don't quite appreciate it. - Common Sense - While some people might be unfortunate enough not to have been born with it, is something that we all use in day to day life. Without it there would be a lot of strife. Use it here on the edge and you shouldn't have any problems.
- Don't Whine - There's nothing worse then having that one person on a site who is always coming onto the cbox and distressing over their woes. If you have a problem on the site, let a member of the staff know and they'll handle it. If you have a problem with another member of the site, contact the admins. Don't go naming names, don't make the problem escalate.
- Be mindful of others - This applies to their sexuality, gender, race, and their over all person. We're all different, we all have different views and opinions. If someone doesn't appreciate bad language, don't swear around them. If they don't like your jokes, apologize and don't go on with them. Simple as that.
- Swearing - Don't be an absolute potty mouth. We're aiming for a safe, mature community. We can understand that people do swear, we do as well, but we won't tolerate you swearing your head off constantly.
- Intermediate Site - BR is an intermediate site. We expect decent sized posts of 300 words or more with a basic understanding of the English language. We're not expecting English to be your first language, or that you know every single little grammar rule out there, since there are role players from other countries, but at least know what you're doing.
- Bleach Knowledge - This IS a Bleach role play site. We expect you to have knowledge of the series and the characters. Most members are willing to explain some things, but we're not here to explain the series to you. If you've never watched or read any of the Bleach series, I recommend doing so. If you still want to join the site without that much knowledge, study the guides here on the site as well as the Bleach Wiki page.
- Posting Order - BR has a set posting order. That means everyone in the thread posts before you post again. So, for example.
Character A makes a thread
Character B joins it.
Character A posts
Character B
Character C jumps in
Character B posts
Character A posts
Character C posts
It continues in an A,C,B order because that's what the order was when C jumped in.
In the case for threads with a large amount of people posting, such as classes, it's obvious that waiting forever for everyone else to post can get boring. For that, feel free to set up a specified amount of time each character has to post before they're skipped. That is, say A, B, C, and D are in a thread. Each player has two days to respond to the previous posts before they're skipped. That means if A, B, and C post, D has two days from when C posted to get their reply up before A is allowed to skip them and post again.
If you are three or more people in a thread, better have a post order. If you can't post, inform the other person so you don't leave the thread stagnant. - Spamming - Simply, don't do it. Spamming is posting in the same thread over and over, posting things that don't relate to the topic at hand over and over, and just being an all around pain. It doesn't matter if it's on boards or in the cbox, you will be banned if the mods see it.
